Company founded in St. Louis, MO

Electrical Accessories, Inc. was originally founded in 1983. The company built a reputation for quality craftsmanship and reliable service in the electrical component industry.

Electrical Accessories Midwest brand established.

In 2014, the name Electrical Accessories Midwest was officially formed to reflect the company’s evolving capabilities and renewed focus on custom solutions, innovation, and customer service.

Company Acquired by long-time Employee and Son

Edward Hanewinkel aka “Big Ed” was employed by EAM for over 25 years. With decades of industry experience, Big Ed and his son, Eddie Hanewinkel, acquired the company in 2019.

Impressive Growth and Expansion

The father-son team guided the company through a period of significant growth, implementing advanced production systems, optimizing inventory management, and expanding capabilities to deliver greater value-added solutions. To reflect their broader service offerings, the company rebranded as Electrical Accessories Unlimited (EAU).

New Leadership, New Vision

In 2025, Steve Chung and John Muller acquired EAU from its previous owners, infusing the company with new energy and a forward-looking strategy for national growth. As a certified Minority-Owned Business, their focus is on expanding into new markets while building on EAU’s strong reputation for quality and service. That same year, the company rebranded as Electrical Assemblies Unlimited, unveiling a new name, logo, and modern identity—honoring its legacy while signaling a bold new chapter.

Today, EAU operates out of a newly renovated 35,000-square-foot facility in St. Louis, MO, serving customers across the Midwest and beyond.
