Company founded in St. Louis, MO
Originally founded in 1983, the company built a reputation for quality craftsmanship and reliable service in the electrical component industry.
2016
Electrical Assemblies Unlimited (EAU) brand established.
In 2016, the EAU name was officially formed to reflect the company’s evolving capabilities and renewed focus on custom solutions, innovation, and customer service.
2019
Company Acquired by long-time Employee and Son
Edward Hanewinkel Sr. was employed by EAU with over 25 years of industry experience and acquired the company with his son Edward “Eddie” Hanewinkel in 2019.
2020-2023
Impressive Growth and Expansion
The father-son duo led the company through a period of impressive growth, introducing new production systems, streamlined inventory processes, and expanded relationships with key customers.
2024
Company Acquired By New Owners
In 2024, new ownership brought fresh energy and vision. Steve “Pei-Te” Chung and John Muller took the reins, acquiring EAU with a mission to scale the company nationally as a Minority-Owned Business.
2025
Refresh of Name and Branding
In 2025, the company rebranded from Electrical Accessories Unlimited to Electrical Assemblies Unlimited, unveiling a new name, logo, and modernized brand identity. This refresh honored the company’s legacy while aligning its image with a bold vision for the future.

Strategic Growth For The Future
Today, EAU operates out of a 35,000-square-foot facility in St. Louis, MO, serving customers across the Midwest and beyond. We are proud to be creating jobs and opportunity in a historically underserved area while continuing to deliver high-quality custom electrical solutions. With a focus on high-margin government contracts and federal support through New Markets Tax Credits (NMTC), they are building on the company’s strong foundation to reach new heights.
